A warm welcome to our local history website …

Created in 2012, we are dedicated to celebrating and sustaining the local history of our beautiful Cheshire village which lies south east of Chester and in promoting community-wide engagement and inclusion.

Our core principles:

    • to provide a lasting legacy, committed to promoting and showcasing the heritage of Tattenhall and its immediate locality
    • to provide a platform for raising awareness and curiosity about our local heritage through the collection and preservation of archival material

Our site is very easy to navigate using the menu on the toolbar at the top of the page and then clicking on any of the links.

We are immensely grateful to all those individuals who have contributed materials for use on the site.

We have tried to contact the owners of copyright of any materials we have used and we have tried to ensure that all the material on the site is factually accurate.

The inclusion of a link to another webpage or website does not imply any recommendation on our part and we are not responsible for the content of any information accessed through these links.

We are delighted to announce that Tattenhall’s ‘Gifford Lea’ Retirement Village is sponsoring the Local History Website (together with our domain hosts) for 2018. Our thanks to them.
