This area of the Website will comprise a series of visual ‘galleries’ in which we intend to display items of local interest and which you are unlikely to have been seen previously.
Thus far, we are developing the ‘Artefacts’ gallery – which can be accessed directly from the link below:
In time we hope to feature a ‘Photographic’ gallery. We are currently working with the daughter of Donald Good who was a professional photographer in Tattenhall, his studio being located in the former Tattenhall Home for Boys.
If you have something unique to this district that you might wish to share, then please leave a message on the ‘Contact Us’ section of the Website.
For those of you that are interested in looking at the Cheshire Tithe Maps and Apportionments, then Cheshire has an online facility which serves that very purpose.
Almost 500 Cheshire Tithe Maps are now available online. Together with the information recorded in the Tithe Apportionments, they provide a unique record of land ownership, occupancy and use in Cheshire in the 19th Century.
For direct access to the online facility then simply click the link ‘mapping Victorian Cheshire’.
