Rock Cottage (1601)

Some buildings on the High Street are instantly recognisable. Rock Cottage is one such property.

A Grade II listed building, Rock Cottage is located on the south side of the High Street and is dated 1601 with some 19th and 20th Century alterations and additions. It is timber-framed with brick nogging to the front and with rendered brick to the sides and rear. It has a Welsh slate roof. On the front of the building is displayed ‘HLL 1601’.

The following photographs illustrate the ‘changing face’ of this much loved cottage in the village.
